This is great if you have your hands full and come home to a dark house. You can simply tell Google to turn on lights for you. But you can also use a service like IFTTT to automate the process.

Configure IFTTT

Sign in using your Whirlpool account username and password. This will link your Whirlpool account to Google Home. Google Assistant will display a linking page to connect your Whirlpool® smart appliance user account with Google Home.

Step 2: Hardware

Once it’s all set up, you can begin controlling your devices. This will trigger the event on Adafruit dashboard which is continuously monitored by the microcontroller . Once everything is set up, you can start controlling your devices with just your voice! Say “Hey Google, turn on the lights” or “Hey Google, play some music” and watch as it happens.
